The optional economizer on an Atlas Copco NGPs nitrogen generator is an energy-saving function designed to minimize air and energy waste when nitrogen is not being consumed. Here’s how it works:

Automatic Standby: When there is no nitrogen demand from your process or application, the economizer function actively closes the machine’s valves to prevent unnecessary air from flowing through the system.

No Wasted Air/Energy: By stopping the flow of compressed air when nitrogen is not needed, the economizer ensures that no air or energy is wasted during standby periods.

User Settings: The economizer settings can be adjusted via the controller, allowing you to tailor the standby behavior to your specific needs.

Smart Valve Control: This feature is managed by the NGPs’ control system, which monitors nitrogen demand and automatically engages the economizer as needed.
